My State and How I Am Doing

This has been a whirlwind of events these last two months. I got married to my beautiful wife Lindsey early in May, and within a week we were on our way down to Augusta, Georgia for 16 weeks of some training that I have to complete. So right now as I write this I am almost halfway through my rigorous training and I miss coding and designing so much!

These last two months I have been so busy with work related to this training that I have had no extra time to devote on my real job: coding and design. I have been able to read some during my limited free time. Currently I am reading: Sharepoint 2010: Branding and User Interface Design by Randy Drisgill, John Ross, Jacob J. Sanford, Paul Stubbs, and Larry RiemannThe Object Oriented Thought Process (3rd Edition) by Matt Weisfeld, and Information Architecture by Peter Morville and Louis Rosenfeld. Each of these books has been a valuable resource for what will be taking place in my life once I am finished with this training and I have to say I cannot wait to take that on!

For anyone interested I am currently working on (i.e. sketching during limited free time and thinking on) a new website called The Memoirs of C. Sense. It is going to be a simple whimsical site on Common Sense and how it is hardly common but yet somehow it prevails. It is something small but it makes me smile when I think about it.

For all those who are waiting for me to return, I will be home and back in the seat mid September. If you try to call me and I for some reason do not answer it is because I am probably in a class.
